The house
A former butcher’s shop turned guest house
The story
Built in the heart of a medieval village, this house full of history was once a farm, then a butcher’s shop and briefly a small gallery for amateur artists.
In 2010, largely renovated, it became the first guest house in Château-Chalon. In 2016 a group of us friends took it on, wanting to make it a warm, welcoming place where people are glad to gather.

We chose to keep its soul and its historic character while bringing in a contemporary touch. As you move from room to room you will find the traces of its past: the shopfront of the old butcher’s shop, the traditional door with its little bell, and the
cement tiles of the period… so many details that tell the story of this house and give it all its charm!
Spread over several fully renovated floors, the house is generously proportioned and has 5 large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and private toilet, so that you have both comfort and privacy during your stay.
“Our motto: naturally simple and without fuss, we welcome you with a smile and real pleasure.”
Washed linen bed sheets and organic cotton bath towels
Ecolabel-certified products provided
